Appointments Information

Appointments are available from 8am through 6pm Monday to Friday (excluding Public & Bank Holidays).

Some pre-bookable evening appointments are available from 6.30pm – 8.00pm Monday to Thursday.

Wednesdays from 12:30 – 13:30 there are no routine appointments due to staff training and development. Urgent access is available to the surgery during this time by using the intercom where we will happily help you.

Access to the practice after 6.30pm is only available to pre-booked appointments, no other services are available after 6.30pm.

Staff are not able to access the Dispensary after 6:30pm

Booking Appointments

We offer pre-bookable non-urgent appointments between 6:30 pm and 8pm Monday to Thursday, and on alternate Fridays. A Saturday service is also available for face to face appointments between 09:30 am – 1:00 pm, these are pre-bookable appointments.

You are able to book an appointment in the following ways:

We work as a team at the centre offering the first available appointment with the most appropriate clinical professional (for the problem you are presenting with at the time you request the appointment), this may not always be a Doctor.

Genuine emergencies and patients who need immediately necessary treatment will always be seen on the same day.

Making an appointment with another clinical professional such as a Health Care Assistant, or Nurse does not mean you are unable to see, or are being prevented from seeing a Doctor.

If the problem or request you are presenting with needs GP investigation or input, this will be available.

Enhanced Access

We are pleased to be able to offer our patients access to routine appointments at evenings and weekends.

This sis part of the Enhanced Access service which has been commissioned by NHS South Lincolnshire Clinical Commissioning Group.

Appointments are for pre-bookable non-urgent appointments and are available between 6:30 and 8pm Monday to Friday and 9am to 5pm on Saturdays.

Appointments will also be available on bank holidays and across the Easter, Christmas and New Year periods.

The service endeavours to see practices across the area working closely together to provide convenient high quality care and may mean that you can take advantage of an appointment with our health professionals.

We will also be seeing patients from other practices at these times.

Open Access or ‘Sit and Wait’ Surgery

We do not operate a “sit and wait to be seen” system; the medical centre is not a walk-in centre.

Transport

Non-urgent advice: Please Note

Please note it is not the responsibility of the surgery to arrange transport to/from the practice or any hospital or healthcare facility you may need to visit for treatment/assessment.

A voluntary car scheme is available for visits to the surgery or hospital.

Cancellations

We regularly monitor the number of wasted appointments (called a “DNA” which means “did not attend”).

Please ensure that you cancel any appointment that you cannot make as soon as you are aware you will be unable to make it.

The sooner you are able to cancel, the more likely it is we can offer the appointment to someone else who can use it.

You can cancel appointments by ringing the main practice number 01775 715999 at any time and picking option 1.

We reserve the right to remove patients from the list who continually fail to attend pre-booked appointments without cancelling in good time beforehand, or without any other reason.

Thank you for working with us to avoid wasted appointments.
